Every year we go skiing in Utah, but this year is different. This year we are going skiing in France! We were heading to the Trois Vallees area, the largest ski area in the world. It is about 600kms.
It was my first time in France, so I did not know what to expect. It was a three-hour car ride from the airport with stunning views and a lot of Podcasts. After three hours we finally arrived. My sister was in a grumpy mood because my dad woke her up from her nap. My brother and I were helping unload the car. My dads friend uncle Jeremy was waiting for us so when we arrived, he could show us where we were staying. We were staying in a four-room apartment with one bathroom. Right when we came in, we assigned beds. What we decided on is that Rohan and I would be upstairs in the twin bed Anusha would be in the other twin bed and then my parents would be in the master. The next day we would have private lessons in the morning and Ski School in the afternoon.
Our private lessons were with Laurent and he would decide what level we would start on. He had a funny personality but was also strict. He said that we should start in Bronze. My mom told me I was not going to get into Gold but on Friday I proved her wrong. In ski school we had lots of fun going of jumps and doing stunts. One thing you should know is that they try to get you down a hill with good form is more important than just getting down the hill.
Oh, and the food at the restaurants on the ski slopes were great. We ate a lot on this trip!
