Madrid

Every year we go to Madrid with my whole family. In Madrid we have to speak Spanish for five weeks straight. I am fluent in Spanish but if I stop practicing my Spanish will get weak.

The whole time we are there my brother sister I go to a camp. First, my sister and I go to a camp called Aulahoven for four weeks. To get there you have to take a long bus ride. At the camp we play lots of different kids of sports. We have to swim too. I hate swimming because the water is so cold. I also don’t like the food very much. They give us things like soup, fish with bones and lentils. The only thing I like is the desert –an ice cream sundae!

Then my brother Rohan and I went to a sleepaway camp. I did not like sleepaway camp because I was away from the rest of my family. Even if my brother was with me I missed everyone else a lot.

At the end of the trip to Spain my dad did an assessment of our Spanish. He had promised that if we passed, we would all get a PS4. We all passed. YAY!!!! That was a great five weeks at Spain!

Here are some pictures of Sleepaway Camp
