On the day of Halloween, I had an unexpected accident.
Bright and early in the morning on Halloween day I was coming down the stairs when I tripped and fell down the stairs. I felt lots of pain that instant but I thought it was just a pain that would go away but I was wrong. I went to the nurse that day and told her what had happened. She told me that it was not broken and that nothing could be done except to ice it and to keep weight off it. She also said I could not play sports for a week. I continued my school day and then I went home. At home, my dad looked at it and he wrapped it up with tape so it would not hurt as badly.
The next day was a weekend and there was no more swelling but there was a big, black and purple bruise. My mom decided to take action even though she was the one screaming at me for falling down the stairs and how clumsy I was. She took me to the hospital and I got an X-ray. The doctor was really nice and she told me that I had broken my toe. I was not surprised because I was feeling a lot of pain and I thought it was broken the entire time. They gave me something called a buddy strap.
The saddest news was that I could not play sports for two weeks. I play sports five days out of the week. That means I will be bored for the rest of the two weeks. But I plan on writing more posts and reading a ton. If you have any suggestions on what I can do to keep myself occupied, comment down below.
