Skiing in Italy

This year we decided to ski in Italy. We flew from London to Mila and drove three hours and arrived in a small town called Madonna di Campiglio. During the drive up to the village, there were beautiful views of mountains and lakes and snow. This area of Italy is called the Dolomites. The car drive from the airport took around 3 hours. The road was very twisty and could make people car sick.

The hotel we stayed at at Chalet del Sogno was really nice. The staff was very, very helpful and kind. The hotel was just steps away from the lift and we could walk to the main square really easily.

The day we got there we went to a restaurant called Picadilly. They had the most amazing venison pasta I had ever had. I didn’t think I would like to eat deer, but it was the best thing I had eaten in such a long time.

Skiing in Italy was a bit different from skiing in any other place. The mountains are a lot less difficult with ranges from Red, Blue, Black. However, even the Black slopes are not that difficult. The only thing to look out for is that both skiers and snowboarders are permitted on these mountains and the snowboarders have less vision and are not very careful. I saw quite a few accidents on the slopes.

The view was amazing and the food was spectacular. I ate pizza and pasta every single day! I would highly recommend taking a trip to Italy.
